When we deliver
Delivery days to Great Britain and Northern Ireland are Tuesday to Friday except on Bank and Public Holidays. We also deliver to BT1-21, BT23 and BT26-28 on Saturday or Sunday with our own driver. Delivery days to the Republic of Ireland are Tuesday to Thursday.
Delivery address information required
In order to ensure accurate delivery by the courier we require customers to provide both house number and road name and UK postcode or Republic of Ireland Eircode for the delivery address. In a case where customers do not provide us with house number or road name or Eircode/postcode information for the delivery location we cannot guarantee delivery will be completed by the courier, and in this case parcels will be sent at the customers own risk which means that if the courier cannot deliver at all or cannot deliver accurately or within the time required due to insufficient address information we cannot offer a refund or replacement goods for goods which fail to be delivered or are damaged in transit due to delayed delivery.
Specifying and changing delivery dates and delivery address
The customer will receive a confirmation of order email showing the goods ordered when the customer places the order.
We attempt to ship on the day after receipt of order when possible or to ship on a date which will deliver to the customer on a date which they have picked on a date picker calendar on our website. We cannot guarantee to deliver on the date picked by the customer, as the time taken by the courier Parcelforce to deliver a parcel varies. Sometimes shipment is delayed for a few days the order includes items which are not in stock e.g. chilled chicken which is received on Thursday and Friday each week. If the order contains some items not in stock, we will delay shipment until the next available shipping date. We ship to Northern Ireland and Great Britain addresses on Monday - Thursday for delivery Tuesday to Friday. We ship to Republic of Ireland addresses on Monday to Wednesday for delivery Tuesday to Thursday. Customers can request a specific shipment date by adding a not to their order in the 'instructions to the seller' box at the checkout.
Please check the shipping address information you have provided very carefully - check especially that you have provided the correct delivery postcode, the correct street address, a house number and/or an apartment number, a phone number for the shipping address, and any other information the courier will need to make the delivery e.g. gate keycodes or any special instructions relating to the delivery address e.g. 'please leave at apartment reception' or e.g. 'flat located at back of property'. Please note we will send the parcel using the shipping address information you have provided and Pheasants Hill Farm Ltd (trading as meatforhealth.co.uk) is not liable, and will not issue a refund, if a delivery is delayed or not made at all because the courier could not find the property because insufficient delivery address information was provided by the customer. If you need to add further information to your order please email us at info@pheasantshill.com or phone us on 02844617246. Please note - delivery address information cannot be changed once the delivery has been booked with the courier and has left our premises on the morning of the shipment.
Delivery Services
We offer 2 delivery options.
Local Delivery
Delivery to Greater Belfast and North Down on Saturdays (and occasionally Sunday). This is with our own driver who will deliver between 12 noon and 7pm.
Courier delivery
This service is available throughout the UK (except the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). Parcelforce delivers between 8am and 8pm and customers cannot specify a delivery time. If the customer or a customers representative is not at the delivery address when the courier driver the driver will leave the parcel at the delivery address in a place of the driver's choosing.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the risk for the goods passes to the customer when the courier attempts delivery for the first time. This means that if Pheasants Hill Farm Ltd or the courier arrive with the goods at delivery address but for whatever reason delivery is not been made possible by the customer, the risk for the loss of or damage to the goods then passes to the customer.
The risk for loss or damage to the goods passes to the customer in all cases when physical delivery is impossible for the courier driver. The following examples illustrate cases where delivery is physically impossible and the risk for loss or damage to the goods is the responsibility of the customer :-
- For example, if the driver is unable to gain access to the delivery address because there are roadworks at the customer's address which they have not informed us about, the risk for non delivery passes to the customer.
- For example, if the customer has not informed Pheasants Hill Farm Limited of the keycode for an access gate, so the courier driver is unable to gain access to the premises, the risks of non-delivery pass to the customer.
- For example if the customer has not given the necessary information to inform Pheasants Hill Farm Limited of the parcel acceptance arrangements at the delivery address e.g. ring bell and leave with the concierge, or leave in parcel area of the foyer. In all respects it is the customers legal responsibility to share all necessary information which the courier driver will need to make the delivery.
- For example, the delivery address is on an unpaved lane, which is too narrow for access by a large courier delivery van, or at which it is impossible for a courier deliver van to turn
- It is Pheasants Hill Farm Limited's legal responsibility to get the goods to the customer and this is defined as getting them as near to the delivery address as is physically possible the delivery address, but it is the customer's responsibility to be ensure the courier delivery driver has all necessary information to make the delivery to the delivery address.
- These examples are not comprehensive but included in these terms and conditions of service to illustrate the point.
Pheasants Hill Farm Ltd or the courier is not liable for non-delivery or damage due to delayed delivery if the customer contacts the courier directly themselves to rearrange the delivery date or time.
The courier will leave the parcel in a place which they designate as a 'safe place' at the delivery address, In this case Pheasants Hill Farm Ltd or the courier will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage to the goods once deposited by the courier at the delivery address. If the customer claims that the parcel has not been delivered, the courier GPS and photographic record will be accepted as evidence of delivery.
Delivery date
The Supplier shall use its reasonable endeavours to meet any date agreed for delivery. In any event time of delivery shall not be of the essence and the Supplier shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the Buyer or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. Pheasants Hill Farm and the courier Parcelforce do not guarantee next day delivery, and delivery may be made on the 1st or 2nd day after shipment. Delivery times are between 8am and 8pm.
Courier Delivery to Republic of Ireland
All parcels to the Republic of Ireland are automatically shipped in a polystyrene box. The supplementary charge for this service is included in the ROI delivery charge which the customer pays at the checkout. Please note: the courier service to the Republic of Ireland can take from 1 - 5 days to deliver. For this reason frozen meat sent to R.O.I. may thaw in transit due to the number of days required for the courier to deliver and consequently we will only ship frozen meat to Republic of Ireland if the the customer accepts the risk of any frozen meat thawing during the courier journey from our premises to the customer's delivery address. This is explained in the delivery options relating to Republic of Ireland which the customer accepts in order to book a delivery, and acceptance of the delivery service means that the customer has accepted these specific terms of service relating to courier delivery to Republic of Ireland.
